Dress Code by Class
To allow instructors to do their job to the best of their ability, to spot technical errors and offer constructive feedback, NPD requires all students to wear the dress code as outlined.
Most of NPD’s stock is available online through the NPD dance store and can be picked up at the studio within 24 hours of placing the order. Some items, as noted on the online store, may take up to two weeks for delivery. NPD stocks everything required by the dress code. If you need to purchase something that is not in stock or available in our online store, orders must be made through a staff member and paid in full.
Dancewear and shoes should be marked INSIDE with the student’s name and kept in a dance bag to insure that all items are ready for class. Tights, pink for girls and black for boys, enable muscles to be seen. Shoes that are the same color as the tights continue the line of the leg, and leotards outline the body so the physique can be clearly seen.
