Dress Code

Our dress code is in place for teachers to be able to correct dancers on posture and alignment. It also helps prevent injury to the ankles, knees, hips, back, shoulders, and neck. Teachers must be able to see that the bones are aligned and the proper muscles are engaged. This allows for a safer, more complete dance education, and longevity in your dancer’s body. Tuition Due Dates for 2025-2026 Academic Year (4 installment due dates):

Registration is accepted throughout the year for classes with openings. Upon registration, each family must pay the $25 registration fee, along with the first tuition payment, in order to reserve a spot in the class. If you are registering online, NPD staff will calculate your total and email you with your total prior to processing charges. Tuition may be prorated based on late start dates. Families with multiple siblings will receive a 10% discount on the lowest tuition(s). In order to receive the Multiple Student discount, students must reside in the same residence and have the same legal guardians. NPD will calculate discounts upon registration. No tuition reductions or refunds are made due to absences.

All students enrolled at NPD must provide a valid credit card/debit card number to be kept on file. The first tuition payment is due at the time of enrollment, on or before the first day of the student’s class. Remaining tuition installments are due prior to the due dates listed on the calendar.  If payment is not received according to this policy, late fees will be applied as outlined in Late Tuition Policy (below). NPD will not accept late payment requests.

Tuition is non-refundable, but may be credited to the student’s account to be used within 90 days from the date proper paperwork is processed. This credit may be used for class tuition only.

Tuition Assistance application is available here. Students receiving assistance commit to an attendance policy and agree to complete volunteer hours.

Payment Methods

All families are required to provide a valid credit or debit card at the time of registration. Card information is securely encrypted and stored through our system. It is the responsibility of the account holder to ensure that card information remains current via the Parent Portal.

NPD requires enrollment in an automatic payment plan. Tuition will be charged to the card on file two business days before the scheduled due date, unless a Drop Form following the Withdrawl Policy.. Families will receive an invoice approximately one week before the charge is processed.

We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and ACH. American Express is accepted with an added convenience fee. Credit/debit card payments may be made online, by phone, or in person. Note that there is a $15 minimum for all credit/debit card transactions.

Returned checks are processed through Check Control and are subject to a $30 fee, in addition to any fees assessed by Check Control. If a tuition check is returned, the student may not attend class until the full balance, including late and returned check fees, is paid.

Late Tuition Policy

If tuition is not received according to policies outlined above, late fees will begin to accrue on the currently due invoice. Any account that is not paid by 12:00 noon on the due date will be assessed a penalty of $25.00. An additional penalty of $5.00 will be assessed at 12:00pm on each following business day until payment is received. After 5 late fees have been assessed to an account, the student will be dropped from all classes. In order to resume classes, the student must re-register and pay all applicable fees, including the registration fee, in addition to all past unpaid invoices.

Joining the Student Company provides NPD students with a unique and enriching learning experience. Designed for dancers ages 7 to 19, the company emphasizes ballet and modern training while fostering teamwork and collaboration. Members have the opportunity to perform works by guest choreographers, serve as mentors to younger dancers, and develop leadership skills as ambassadors within the community. Beyond training and performance, company dancers build lasting friendships and connect with others who share a deep passion for the performing arts.
