NORTHERN PLAINS DANCE STUDENT SHOWCASE 2026
Sunday, April 12, 2026
1:00pm & 4:00pm
Each performance will run approximately 1 hour.
Join us as we celebrate and recognize a year of incredible growth. Our students will perform dances highlighting what they have learned throughout the school year. We believe that participating in the Student Showcase provides another learning opportunity. Demonstrating their in-studio work on a professional stage helps students to build confidence and continue to advance while studying a performing art.
It is our goal to make the experience stress free and with no extra commitment or cost to participate (tickets for families wishing to attend the performance are $10 with discounts for children and senior citizens). Participation in the Student Showcase is not required but highly encouraged. Tell us you plan to participate by adding the Student Showcase in your Parent Portal.
Register for the Student Showcase by January 31 to recieve a special pre-sale code for tickets.
Once registration closes on March 6, we will share full performance details, including which classes are scheduled for each performance time.
How To Register: Desktop
Step 1: Sign into your Parent Portal
Step 2: Click on Classes & Events in the header
Step 3: Select Find Events (with the birthday cake icon!)
Step 4: Pick Student Showcase and enroll.

How To Register: Through the App
Step 1: Open your NPD app
Step 2: Click on Register
Step 3: Tap the green button that says “Find Classes”
Step 4: Click on the cake icon that reads “Find Events”
Step 5: Swipe down and enroll in Student Showcase.

Drop-Off:
Arrive 30 minutes before the show. No early drop-offs allowed.
- Ages 3-10 check in upstairs (Upper Atrium).
- Ages 11 and above check in downstairs (Lower Atrium).
- Dancers under 13 must be accompanied by an adult until checked in by a faculty member.
*Dancers are to arrive in their performance uniforms. They may keep a water bottle with them at their seats.
Pick-Up:
All dancers will be dismissed from the stage by class in the same order as the performance.
Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS
What does my child wear?
Each level & styles has been assigned a color of leotard for the Student Showcase. If you have questions about the other requirements (tights, shoes, etc) refer to the dress code for each class in the Student Handbook or on the Student Resources page.
How do I get tickets?
If you sign up through your parent portal by January 31, you will receive an early access code for tickets. Otherwise, tickets will be available starting on Friday, March 7 on NPD’s ticketing site. They can be purchased online or in person at the studio.
How many tickets will I get?
We move to the Belle so we wouldn’t have to limit the number of tickets available to each family! And don’t forget, we will be live-streaming the event also for friends and family who can’t be there in person.
Is there reserved seating?
You bet! In order to make the day as easy and stress-free as possible you will pick your reserved seat at the time of purchase.
Do I have to buy a ticket for my infant?
Yes. The performance is at the Belle so a ticket is required for anyone sitting in the audience.
What if I have family that wants to come but live too far away?
We will be offering a live-stream option for friends and family who are not able to attend in person. That will be an option when you purchase your tickets.
Can I film the Student Showcase?
We are proud of offer videos and photos of the Student Showcase free of charge so that you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your child’s performance without having to worry about capturing the moment.
