For those new to NPD, did you know we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit? That means we rely on contributions from donors to support the parts of our mission that don’t bring in an income – but are instead designed to provide access to those who may not be able to afford it otherwise. From scholarships to Dance for Parkinson’s, NPD is on a mission to enrich the community through dance.

After watching Shelby record herself, while providing expert commentary on how to unpackage a Glitter Pop Surprise LOL doll for all of her “followers” with ease, I had an idea. Instead of unwrapping enough plastic doll accessories to fill the recycle bin, she should make a video explaining NPD’s 10,000×200 fundraiser and share it with friends and family. As much as Grandma and Grandpa love to get mail from the grandkids, there is one thing they love even more…seeing their sweet faces!Shelby takes fundraising responsibilities seriously (we may need a second fridge soon to store Bacon for Ballet goods from her door to door sales), so she hopped right on board. We made a quick video, sent a group text, and within seconds our family members had all the information they needed to support NPD. I followed up the video message with a text message that included the link to donate online. Knowing that NPD needs our fundraising efforts more this year than ever, and that virtual fundraising options are more important than ever, we plan to up our production value this year and ask for even more support.
